The A80229 is an AS568-229 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.359 in (59.92 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.637 in (66.98 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Aflas (TFE/P) delivers strong resistance to rapid gas decompression and proven performance in aggressive downhole environments. The material holds up against sour gas and hydrogen sulfide, amines and corrosion inhibitors, and high-temperature steam. Continuous operating temperature is published at -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where low-temperature dynamic service or some chlorinated solvents are present.
