APG stocks the A80231, an AS568-231 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.609 in (66.27 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.887 in (73.33 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists brake fluids and phosphate esters, high-temperature steam, and strong bases. Aflas (TFE/P) offers proven performance in aggressive downhole environments and strong resistance to rapid gas decompression. Continuous operating temperature is published at -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to low-temperature dynamic service or aromatic hydrocarbons will shorten service life.
