-249 BLACK AFLAS 80D O-RING

A80249 is an AS568-249 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.859 in (123.42 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.137 in (130.48 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

It resists hot water, strong bases, and amines and corrosion inhibitors. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Aflas (TFE/P) is valued for high-temperature steam capability that most fluoroelastomers cannot match and exceptional resistance to amine-based additives. Service temperature is rated from -25°F (-31.7°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to aromatic hydrocarbons or some chlorinated solvents will shorten service life.
