-256 BLACK AFLAS 80D O-RING

A80256 is an AS568-256 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 5.734 in (145.64 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.012 in (152.7 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, Aflas (TFE/P) is specified for high-temperature steam capability that most fluoroelastomers cannot match and strong resistance to rapid gas decompression. Expect good resistance to high-temperature steam, amines and corrosion inhibitors, and sour gas and hydrogen sulfide. The material carries a published service range of -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where low-temperature dynamic service or some chlorinated solvents are present.

It sees regular use in oil and gas production, power generation, and downhole tooling.
