This o-ring is supplied in AS568-257 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A with an inside diameter of 5.859 in (148.82 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.137 in (155.88 mm), catalogued under part number A80257. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

It resists amines and corrosion inhibitors, high-temperature steam, and hot water. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Aflas (TFE/P) is valued for high-temperature steam capability that most fluoroelastomers cannot match and exceptional resistance to amine-based additives. Continuous operating temperature is published at -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).
