Ordered as A80259, this is an AS568-259 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 6.234 in (158.34 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.512 in (165.4 mm). The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

It resists brake fluids and phosphate esters, hot water, and amines and corrosion inhibitors. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Aflas (TFE/P) is specified for excellent electrical insulating properties and high-temperature steam capability that most fluoroelastomers cannot match. Published continuous service range is -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving low-temperature dynamic service or aromatic hydrocarbons call for a different compound.
