The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Expect good resistance to strong bases, sour gas and hydrogen sulfide, and amines and corrosion inhibitors. Aflas (TFE/P) is valued for exceptional resistance to amine-based additives and high-temperature steam capability that most fluoroelastomers cannot match.
