Ordered as A80381, this is an AS568-381 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 11.975 in (304.17 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 12.395 in (314.83 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Aflas (TFE/P) is specified here for high-temperature steam capability that most fluoroelastomers cannot match and exceptional resistance to amine-based additives. The compound resists hot water, brake fluids and phosphate esters, and amines and corrosion inhibitors. Published continuous service range is -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving some chlorinated solvents or aromatic hydrocarbons call for a different compound.
