-442 BLACK AFLAS 80D O-RING

The A80442 is an AS568-442 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 7.225 in (183.52 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.775 in (197.49 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Aflas (TFE/P) is specified here for excellent electrical insulating properties and proven performance in aggressive downhole environments. The compound resists hot water, sour gas and hydrogen sulfide, and strong bases. The material carries a published service range of -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving some chlorinated solvents or aromatic hydrocarbons call for a different compound.
