-453 BLACK AFLAS 80D O-RING

The A80453 is an AS568-453 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 11.975 in (304.17 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 12.525 in (318.14 mm). This o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Aflas (TFE/P) is specified here for excellent electrical insulating properties and exceptional resistance to amine-based additives. This material stands up to brake fluids and phosphate esters, amines and corrosion inhibitors, and strong bases. Rated temperature range runs from -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. Applications involving aromatic hydrocarbons or low-temperature dynamic service call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in downhole tooling, oil and gas production, and power generation.
