It delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

As a material, Aflas (TFE/P) is valued for proven performance in aggressive downhole environments and strong resistance to rapid gas decompression. Expect good resistance to brake fluids and phosphate esters, sour gas and hydrogen sulfide, and hot water. Published continuous service range is -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in aromatic hydrocarbons or low-temperature dynamic service.
