THREAD SEAL STEEL PLATED

The ATS7500-5/16 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) Thread Seal with an inside diameter of 0.313 in (7.94 mm). This thread seal prevents weepage at threaded ports without additional tape or sealant. Supplementary detail from the product record: Nitrile 70 -5/16.

This material stands up to petroleum-based oils, water, and propane and butane. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for strong abrasion and tear resistance, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to polar solvents or strong acids will shorten service life.
