N70147 is an AS568-147 black Neoprene (Chloroprene) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.675 in (67.95 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.881 in (73.18 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, Neoprene (Chloroprene) is specified for a balanced combination of oil and weather resistance, dependable general-purpose sealing in exposed installations. This material stands up to moderate petroleum oil exposure, ozone and weathering, and refrigerants and ammonia. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to ketones or strong oxidizing acids will shorten service life.
