-016 BLACK CHLOROPRENE 70D O-RING

Part number N70016 is an AS568-016 black Neoprene (Chloroprene) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.614 in (15.6 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.754 in (19.15 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

This material stands up to refrigerants and ammonia, moderate petroleum oil exposure, and sunlight and salt spray. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Neoprene (Chloroprene) is known for inherent flame-retarding characteristics and strong performance in refrigeration circuits. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where ketones or aromatic hydrocarbons are present.
