An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Neoprene (Chloroprene) is specified here for inherent flame-retarding characteristics and dependable general-purpose sealing in exposed installations. The compound resists refrigerants and ammonia, sunlight and salt spray, and moderate petroleum oil exposure. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C).
