N70162 is an AS568-162 black Neoprene (Chloroprene) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.737 in (145.72 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.943 in (150.95 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Neoprene (Chloroprene) is specified here for inherent flame-retarding characteristics and strong performance in refrigeration circuits. Expect good resistance to mild acids, moderate petroleum oil exposure, and refrigerants and ammonia. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service.
