The N70248 is an AS568-248 black Neoprene (Chloroprene) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.734 in (120.24 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.012 in (127.3 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

This material stands up to refrigerants and ammonia, mild acids, and sunlight and salt spray. Neoprene (Chloroprene) offers inherent flame-retarding characteristics, a balanced combination of oil and weather resistance. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C).
