N70250 is an AS568-250 black Neoprene (Chloroprene) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.984 in (126.59 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.262 in (133.65 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists ozone and weathering, sunlight and salt spray, and refrigerants and ammonia. Neoprene (Chloroprene) is known for strong performance in refrigeration circuits and inherent flame-retarding characteristics. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Applications involving aromatic hydrocarbons or strong oxidizing acids call for a different compound.
