The N70312 is an AS568-312 black Neoprene (Chloroprene) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.6 in (15.24 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.02 in (25.91 mm). This o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Neoprene (Chloroprene) is widely chosen for a balanced combination of oil and weather resistance, good resilience across a moderate temperature band. The material holds up against refrigerants and ammonia, sunlight and salt spray, and moderate petroleum oil exposure. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C).
