The N70365 is an AS568-365 black Neoprene (Chloroprene) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 6.975 in (177.17 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.395 in (187.83 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Neoprene (Chloroprene) is specified for inherent flame-retarding characteristics and good resilience across a moderate temperature band. The material holds up against moderate petroleum oil exposure, ozone and weathering, and sunlight and salt spray. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving chlorinated solvents or strong oxidizing acids call for a different compound.
