The N70432 is an AS568-432 black Neoprene (Chloroprene) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.35 in (135.89 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.9 in (149.86 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

It resists mild acids, sunlight and salt spray, and moderate petroleum oil exposure. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Neoprene (Chloroprene) is valued for inherent flame-retarding characteristics, a balanced combination of oil and weather resistance. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to ketones or aromatic hydrocarbons will shorten service life.
