N70440 is an AS568-440 black Neoprene (Chloroprene) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 6.725 in (170.82 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.275 in (184.79 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Neoprene (Chloroprene) is specified here for strong performance in refrigeration circuits and inherent flame-retarding characteristics. Expect good resistance to ozone and weathering, sunlight and salt spray, and refrigerants and ammonia. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C).
