Ordered as N70442, this is an AS568-442 black Neoprene (Chloroprene) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 7.225 in (183.52 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.775 in (197.49 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The compound resists refrigerants and ammonia, ozone and weathering, and mild acids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Neoprene (Chloroprene) offers inherent flame-retarding characteristics and good resilience across a moderate temperature band. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in ketones or strong oxidizing acids.
