N70475 is an AS568-475 black Neoprene (Chloroprene) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 25.94 in (658.88 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 26.49 in (672.85 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, Neoprene (Chloroprene) offers good resilience across a moderate temperature band and inherent flame-retarding characteristics. It resists ozone and weathering, moderate petroleum oil exposure, and mild acids. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving ketones or aromatic hydrocarbons call for a different compound.
