• Buna-N resists wear and tear and is often used with petroleum-based chemicals, fluids, and alcohols. Also called nitrile, this material is used in a wide range of sealing applications.
• Hytrel® is a thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPE) that resists abrasion, high temperatures, and hydraulic oil and water. It is flexible and provides a strong seal.
• PTFE resists acids, ammonia, petroleum products, synthetic lubricants, coolants, and chemicals. This material is durable and rigid and often used with aggressive and corrosive materials.
