This o-ring is supplied in AS568-117 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 0.799 in (20.29 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.005 in (25.53 mm), catalogued under part number E70NSF117. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

EPDM (EPR) delivers outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, good electrical insulating characteristics. The compound resists phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, dilute acids and alkalis, and ketones. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Exposure to mineral oil-based lubricants or petroleum oils and fuels will shorten service life.

This item meets FDA requirements for food contact, carries NSF listing, and is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in potable water applications, solar and roofing assemblies, and water and steam systems.
