This o-ring is supplied in AS568-118 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 0.862 in (21.89 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.068 in (27.13 mm), catalogued under part number E70NSF118. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

This material stands up to water and steam, dilute acids and alkalis, and brake fluid. EPDM (EPR) is valued for strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations, very good flexibility at low temperature. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in mineral oil-based lubricants or petroleum oils and fuels.
