APG stocks the E70135, an AS568-135 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.925 in (48.9 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.131 in (54.13 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.
EPDM (EPR) is valued for very good flexibility at low temperature, excellent hot water and steam resistance. The material holds up against dilute acids and alkalis, ozone, UV and weathering, and brake fluid. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving aromatic hydrocarbons or petroleum oils and fuels call for a different compound.
It sees regular use in brake and phosphate ester systems, outdoor equipment, and potable water applications.
E70135 ships individually. Unit weight is approximately 1.05 g and nominal inside diameter is listed as 1 15/16 inch. Confirm chemical compatibility, pressure and temperature against your own application requirements before installing. APG supports cross-referencing from drawings, samples and competitor numbers when a listed size is not an exact fit.
