E70159 is an AS568-159 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.987 in (126.67 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.193 in (131.9 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) is known for outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, very good flexibility at low temperature. Expect good resistance to ketones, dilute acids and alkalis, and ozone, UV and weathering. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving mineral oil-based lubricants or aromatic hydrocarbons call for a different compound.
