The E70215 is an AS568-215 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.046 in (26.57 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.324 in (33.63 mm). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

This material stands up to ozone, UV and weathering, dilute acids and alkalis, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is widely chosen for excellent hot water and steam resistance, outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving mineral oil-based lubricants or petroleum oils and fuels call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in outdoor equipment, brake and phosphate ester systems, and solar and roofing assemblies.
