As a material, EPDM (EPR) is valued for good electrical insulating characteristics and very good flexibility at low temperature. This material stands up to ozone, UV and weathering, ketones, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C).
