Ordered as E70279, this is an AS568-279 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 12.984 in (329.79 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 13.262 in (336.85 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) delivers strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations, good electrical insulating characteristics. Expect good resistance to water and steam, phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, and dilute acids and alkalis. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where mineral oil-based lubricants or aromatic hydrocarbons are present.
