-284 BLACK EPDM 70D O-RING

An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

EPDM (EPR) is specified here for outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, excellent hot water and steam resistance. This material stands up to dilute acids and alkalis, ketones, and water and steam. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in aromatic hydrocarbons or mineral oil-based lubricants.

It sees regular use in solar and roofing assemblies, water and steam systems, and potable water applications.
