An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

EPDM (EPR) is widely chosen for outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. The compound resists ozone, UV and weathering, brake fluid, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Exposure to aromatic hydrocarbons or mineral oil-based lubricants will shorten service life.

Typical settings include water and steam systems, outdoor equipment, and HVAC and refrigeration.
