Ordered as E70401, this is an AS568-401 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.475 in (37.47 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.025 in (51.44 mm). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

EPDM (EPR) is valued for good electrical insulating characteristics, excellent hot water and steam resistance. The material holds up against phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, dilute acids and alkalis, and water and steam. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where petroleum oils and fuels or mineral oil-based lubricants are present.
