E70417 is an AS568-417 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 3.475 in (88.27 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.025 in (102.24 mm). In service, this o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

The compound resists water and steam, phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, and ozone, UV and weathering. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is specified for good electrical insulating characteristics, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Exposure to mineral oil-based lubricants or aromatic hydrocarbons will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in outdoor equipment, potable water applications, and water and steam systems.
