Part number E70905 is an AS568-905 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.414 in (10.52 mm), a cross section of 0.072 in (1.83 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.558 in (14.17 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Expect good resistance to brake fluid, ketones, and water and steam. EPDM (EPR) is specified for excellent hot water and steam resistance, good electrical insulating characteristics. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in aromatic hydrocarbons or petroleum oils and fuels.

Common environments for this compound include brake and phosphate ester systems, outdoor equipment, and potable water applications.
