-002 BLACK EPDM 70D O-RING

Ordered as E70002, this is an AS568-002 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.042 in (1.07 mm), a cross section of 0.05 in (1.27 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.142 in (3.61 mm). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

This material stands up to water and steam, dilute acids and alkalis, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. EPDM (EPR) is specified for good electrical insulating characteristics and very good flexibility at low temperature. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in petroleum oils and fuels or mineral oil-based lubricants.

It sees regular use in solar and roofing assemblies, HVAC and refrigeration, and brake and phosphate ester systems.
