-005 BLACK EPDM 70D O-RING

APG stocks the E70005, an AS568-005 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.101 in (2.57 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.241 in (6.12 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

This material stands up to dilute acids and alkalis, ketones, and ozone, UV and weathering. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is valued for outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, excellent hot water and steam resistance. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C) in continuous service. Exposure to mineral oil-based lubricants or aromatic hydrocarbons will shorten service life.

Typical settings include solar and roofing assemblies, HVAC and refrigeration, and brake and phosphate ester systems.
