Part number E70009 is an AS568-009 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.208 in (5.28 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.348 in (8.84 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

EPDM (EPR) is specified for excellent hot water and steam resistance, very good flexibility at low temperature. This material stands up to brake fluid, ketones, and ozone, UV and weathering. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving petroleum oils and fuels or mineral oil-based lubricants call for a different compound.
