E70NSF009 is an AS568-009 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.208 in (5.28 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.348 in (8.84 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

EPDM (EPR) is specified here for very good flexibility at low temperature, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. Expect good resistance to ketones, dilute acids and alkalis, and brake fluid. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where aromatic hydrocarbons or petroleum oils and fuels are present.

The compound meets FDA requirements for food contact, carries NSF listing, and is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include solar and roofing assemblies, HVAC and refrigeration, and outdoor equipment.
