-021 BLACK EPDM 70D NSF O-RING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-021 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 0.926 in (23.52 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.066 in (27.08 mm), catalogued under part number E70NSF021. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) is specified for very good flexibility at low temperature, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. This material stands up to ketones, ozone, UV and weathering, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where petroleum oils and fuels or aromatic hydrocarbons are present.

This o-ring meets FDA requirements for food contact, carries NSF listing, and is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include HVAC and refrigeration, brake and phosphate ester systems, and water and steam systems.
