APG stocks the E70041, an AS568-041 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.989 in (75.92 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.129 in (79.48 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The compound resists ozone, UV and weathering, ketones, and dilute acids and alkalis. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is known for strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations, excellent hot water and steam resistance. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Exposure to aromatic hydrocarbons or petroleum oils and fuels will shorten service life.
