This o-ring is supplied in AS568-117 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 0.799 in (20.29 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.005 in (25.53 mm), catalogued under part number E70117. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The material holds up against brake fluid, water and steam, and ketones. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is known for very good flexibility at low temperature, excellent hot water and steam resistance. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Verify compatibility before use with mineral oil-based lubricants or petroleum oils and fuels.
