APG stocks the E70138, an AS568-138 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.112 in (53.64 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.318 in (58.88 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to ozone, UV and weathering, dilute acids and alkalis, and ketones. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is specified for excellent hot water and steam resistance, outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where mineral oil-based lubricants or aromatic hydrocarbons are present.

It sees regular use in HVAC and refrigeration, water and steam systems, and potable water applications.
