APG stocks the E3X144.5, a black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 144.5 mm (5.689 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 150.5 mm (5.93 in). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.
The compound resists dilute acids and alkalis, water and steam, and ketones. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is valued for excellent hot water and steam resistance, very good flexibility at low temperature. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in petroleum oils and fuels or mineral oil-based lubricants.
You will find this material specified across brake and phosphate ester systems, HVAC and refrigeration, and solar and roofing assemblies.
E3X144.5 ships individually. Confirm chemical compatibility, pressure and temperature against your own application requirements before installing. If you need a size, durometer or compound that is not listed, APG can cross-reference from a print, a sample or a competitor part number.
