Ordered as E3X15, this is a black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 15 mm (0.591 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 21 mm (0.83 in). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

It resists water and steam, dilute acids and alkalis, and ozone, UV and weathering. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is specified for outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, excellent hot water and steam resistance. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C) in continuous service.

Typical settings include brake and phosphate ester systems, water and steam systems, and potable water applications.
