The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

This material stands up to brake fluid, ketones, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) delivers very good flexibility at low temperature, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where mineral oil-based lubricants or petroleum oils and fuels are present.
