APG stocks the E70169, an AS568-169 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 7.487 in (190.17 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.693 in (195.4 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The material holds up against brake fluid, dilute acids and alkalis, and water and steam. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is specified for excellent hot water and steam resistance, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C).
