E70173 is an AS568-173 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 8.487 in (215.57 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.693 in (220.8 mm). In service, this o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

This material stands up to brake fluid, water and steam, and ketones. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) delivers outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, good electrical insulating characteristics. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where petroleum oils and fuels or mineral oil-based lubricants are present.
